What is heart failure? | What are the diagnosis methods and preventive steps for Arrhythmia?
Heart failure doesn’t mean that the heart has stopped completely. It means that heart is unable to supply blood in a full fledged manner as required by the organs of the body. Due to weakening of heart, it may not function up to the mark with full efficiency. When the same condition continues for longer periods, it is called heart failure. Risk of heart failure will be more for those who have arrhythmia and those who have clinical history of heart attack, high BP and problem in heart valves. So, they need to be more careful.
Diagnosis Of The Problems Aroused Due To Arrhythmia Of Heart
- ECG (Electro cardio gram) test will be done
- 2D Echo (to known heart pumping efficiency)
- Special ECG test is done to know the functioning of heart for 24 hours. It is called Holter test also.
- After these three tests are done, electrophysiology test will be done based on necessity.
Prevention of problem aroused due to Arrhythmia
- Quit smoking
- All the organs should be kept active
- Healthy balanced food should be taken
- Take care to restrict cholesterol till the prescribed limit
- Blood pressure has to be checked regularly and it should be kept in control
- Weight should not be put on
- Regular exercises should be done
- Sugar levels of blood are to be kept in control
- Should have sufficient sound sleep
- Prevent and cope up with stress
