Arthritis is the swelling and paining of joints. There are many types in it. Important ones among theme are Osteo arthritis and Rheumatoid arthritis. It is true that some kinds of foods will increase the intensity of the disease. So, people suffering from arthritis should be aware of the diet that they have to follow. By following proper diet, joint pains will also decrease. First aspect to be checked is whether the calcium and phosphorus are present in the blood in the proper levels or not. If phosphorus is present in more quantities, it will prevent the absorption of required amounts of calcium. As a result, calcium levels in the body fall causing the increase of joint pains. Meat, fish, liver, soft drinks and others will have more amounts of phosphorus. Daily menu of the patients should not include the above said items. Uric acid, present in the meat also causes the increase of the problem. Caffeine present in the coffee will prevent the absorption of required amounts of vitamins and minerals to the body. So, people suffering from arthritis should stay away from coffee. Also, they should stop using the oils and oily foods that contain omega-6 fatty acids. Using these oils will cause obesity and it results in increase of arthritis. Gluten, the substance present in wheat, barley and oats also cause increase of joint pains. Drinking of alcohol also prevents the absorption of calcium in the body. Usage of salt has to be lowered in the foods so as to get adequate amounts of calcium. Also, sweets should be avoided.
People suffering from Arthritis should take the foods full of omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids will cause the lowering of joint pains. Omega-3 fatty acids are present in high quantities in garlic, ginger, turmeric, apple fruits and the fruits that contain more levels of Vitamin-C like orange, lemon, salmon, tuna and others. So, these fruits are to be taken daily.
Some kinds of seeds like water melon seeds, pumpkin seeds, almonds, walnuts and others also cause the lowering of arthritis. Also pulses, cereals and unpolished rice should be taken. Fruits which contain magnesium, like bananas, beans, leafy vegetables and others should be placed in daily menu.
