What are the best available extensions or addons with Google Chrome?

Like Mozilla fire fox, the Google Chrome is also coming with the add ons.  Google chrome is providing the additional services through the service called Extensions and these services are very easy to install.  Select the Customize and Control Google Chrome menu that is available to the right side of browser.  In that menu, select an option called Extensions.  Then click on the Get More Extensions button which is available in the viewed page, it will displays the list of extensions can be installed.  Among the list some of the popular are:

Controlling Advertisements

Whenever one opened, a site some of the advertisements will be automatically opens in a special window.  To block those advertisement one has to install add on called Ad Block in the Chrome browser.  To install go to the extension page in the site and type an AdBlock in the search box of that page and click on search button.  A link will be appears as a search result.  Click on the appeared link then one can see the install button in the page.  Click on the button to install this application.  Go to the control menu and in that go to the extensions option in that click on the options.  In the appeared window check mark the option show the Adblock button next to the address bar and then install the Browser button for AdBlock.  Then onwards one can see a button, which has hand icon on it.  Then onwards whenever a site is opened just click on the Hand button in turn blocks all the pop up ads and can see the details of those popped ads in the status bar, which is appeared in the bottom of the page.  If one, want to show all the ads that are blocked whenever a site is open just click on the arrow icon that is available in the status bar and click on the Always Show Pop – Ups option.

Orkut Updates

This option is very useful for the users who are using their orkut account more number of times.  By installing an Orkut Chrome Extension, they can see the updates of their Orkut account by the side of the address bar.  After this add on is installed in the computer from the site and one can observe an orkut icon inside of the address bar.  Click on that Orkut Icon and a page will be displayed in that and click on the option called Grant Access to activate the icon.  After the icon is activated one can see all the updates related to videos, scraps, Profiles and so on very easily. In order to logout from the Orkut account by just clicking on the Orkut icon and select the Logout, option in the displayed menu.

Internet Explorer in the Chrome

Some times some of the sites that want to visit can be opened only in Internet explorer.  In those situations, the user has to close the Chrome and open the Internet explorer, which is not required from now onwards.  Because now we have an Add On, option called IE Tab that allows the users to open sites which are supported in internet explorer sites from that browser without closing the Google chrome.  As and when the add on is installed in the computer one can see an Internet explorer icon is appeared by the side of Address of Bar in the Google chrome.  Just by clicking on that button one can open Internet Explorer 6 to view those pages in Explorer only.  To change the options related to Internet Explorer tab move to the Control menu and in that select the Extensions and click on the Options button.

Special for Mails

To know the numbers of New Unread mails, which are stored in the GMail box, just install Google Mail Checker, which helps us to know the number of new mails with out opening the Gmail.   This is available in the extension services of the site, in that one can see the search box in that type the Mail Checker helps us to retrieve the link for installing this application.  After the successful installation of this application, we can see a Gmail icon in the chrome browser by the side of Address Bar.  In this box, one can see the number of unread mails in the Gmail account.  To see those mails just click on that icon.

Translation

One can translate some of the viewing webpage contents to other language by just installing an add on application called Google Translate Extension.  After the successful installation of Google Translate Extension application one can see the Translate Icon just by the side of the Address bar.  To translate the contents of the viewing site to another language just click on that icon to activate the Google Translate Bar and click on the Arrow icon to select the available languages in which the contents are to be translated.
