Vanilla Caramel Pudding

‘Vanilla Caramel Pudding’ is a very healthy recipe and favorite food for kids as it’s enriched with milk and eggs.

Ingredients:
Eggs – 6
Milk – 600 grams
Sugar – 200 grams
Nutmeg powder- ½ tsp
Vanilla Essence – 4 tsp

Method of Preparation:

Pour six table spoons of sugar in a Jelly Mould or in a thick container and add little water to it. Place it on low heat and stir until it melts and turns golden brown color. Pour this hot caramelized sugar in a bowl and make sure it is evenly spread at the bottom and sides.

Mix the remaining sugar and beaten eggs very well. Stir it often; gradually add milk, nutmeg powder and vanilla essence to this mixture. Pour this into caramel coated mould and cover it with butter paper or aluminum foil tightly. Steam the mould it in a pressure cooker on high flame.

Reduce heat, cook for 10 minutes and when done, allow it to cool for about half an hour. Then place the serving plate over the mould, hold firmly and invert gently. The pudding will turn over and caramel side is seen on top in the plate. Now ‘Vanilla Caramel Pudding’ is ready to serve and rich in taste when chilled.
