In geneal, these match sticks are made from the softwoods like Popular Rubber and Samuel. Yearly 7.5 lakh cubic meters of parts of trees are used in manufacturing match sticks and by the year 2020 it may increased to 40 lakh cubic meters. At present there are only 5 lakh cubic meters of trees that are used in manufacturing of match sticks.

In this context the lack of wood scaracity is been reduced by using the Bamboo in the manufacturing of Match sticks.
