India stood second in manufacturing the Bamboos. Around 32.2 Lakhs of Bamboos are Manfactured in India. In Andhra Pradesh, Bamboos are grown in 9 lakhs hectors as a Forest wealth and 25 thousand hectors as a commercial crop. In a survery, around 5 lakh tones of bamboos is been used for commercial purpose.
Usage of Bamboos
This bamboos is used in many ways like Partition Boards, Construction of Bamboo Houses, Flooring tiles, Furniture and in Cargated sheets. In India, the total manufacturing value of Bamboo is nearly 6,505 crores and it may increase to 15 thousand crores by the year 2015.

The Market value of match sticks in india is around 800 crores in which 82% of share is given to the small scale industry. By this around 3 lakhs of unemployed people are getting employed. In geneal, these match sticks are made from the softwoods like Popular Rubber and Samuel. Yearly 7.5 lakh cubic meters of parts of trees are used in manufacturing match sticks and by the year 2020 it may increased to 40 lakh cubic meters. At present there are only 5 lakh cubic meters of trees that are used in manufacturing of match sticks.
In this context the lack of wood scaracity is been reduced by using the Bamboo in the manufacturing of Match sticks. All the advanced technology and mechinary is available which converts the raw bamboo as match sticks. By importing the match sticks from Tamilnadu and Kerla expenditure can be reduced and in turn we can gain more and more profits.
