Sweets for Diabetic Patients | Preparation of Qubani ka meetha, Double ka meetha, Basundi, Kalakandh
Diabetic patients are very scared to eat sweets. They eat sweets in a limited mearsures. In this regard, Mr.Chengappan, Chef, Green Park Hotel, Hyderabad, says there are no such limitations, even the diabetic patients can consume as much of sweets they would like to. In preparing sweets instead of ordinary sugar he used diet sugar which do not increase the sugar levels and also has no harm of acetic products.

INGREDIENTS:
Dry Apricots-300gms;
Diet sugar-75gms;
lemon juice-1 tb. spn;
Ice cream – sufficiently
Preparing Method:
Wash Apricots cleanly and soak them in fresh water for 5minutes. Cut them into small pieces. Take 2 cups of water, Apricot pieces, diet sugar and lemon juice in a vessel and cook them for 10 minutes. Then take it into a big bowl and garnish with ice-cream. Qubani ka meetha is ready.
INGREDIENTS:
One small bread packet;
Milk-1 ltr;
Diet sugar-200gms;
Butter-250gms;
cashew nut pieces-75gms;
Kissmiss -75 gms;
ice cream-75gms;
5 Elachies powder.
Preparing Method:
Cut the bread into four pieces, apply butter to them and fry it on a pan until it turn to light brown colour. Now take diet sugar and one cup of water in a vessel and boil it on a low flame for 15 minutes. Add elaichi powder to this sugar syrup and keep it aside. Now take milk into another vessel and boil it until it becomes half and keep it aside. Mix the fired bread pieces, milk and sugar syrup into one bowl and garnish it with fried pieces of cashewnut and kissmiss. Double ka Meetha is ready.
INGREDIENTS:
Milk- 2 litres;
Lemon juice – 2 tb.spns;
Diet Sugar- 175gms;
Badam- 5 pieces;
Pista- 5 pieces;
Preparing Method:
Take milk in a Kadai and put in on the stove and boil it on a low flame. Boil the milk till it becomes half a litre. To this milk add the lemon juice and diet sugar and remove it from the flame. Take this mixture into a dish and garnish with Badam & pista.
INGREDIENTS:
Milk-2litres;
Diet sugar-75gms;
Badam pieces- 1tb.spn;
Pista pieces- 1 tb.spn;
Citric acid- 1/2 tb.spn;
water- 1/2cup
Preparing Method :
Mix Citric acid with 1/2cup water and keep aside. Now take 1 ltr. of milk into a vessel and boil it. Now add the prepared mixture of citric acid and milk to it and remove it from the flame. With this the milk breaks and now remove water from it and keep the paste aside. Take the remaining milk into another vessel and boil. When the milk gets thicker add the paste of the milk (which is kept aside) and diet sugar. Boil till it gets thicker. Apply butter to a bowl and pour the boiled mixture into it garnish with badam and pista pieces and cut it into desired pieces.
