New Year Celebrations in China, Mexicao, Venezuela, Portorico, Philippines, Netherlands, Brazil
China New Year Celebrations: The New Year celebrations are not done as celebrated in all the countries. The New Year celebrations are done from 1st day of the lunar eclipse to up to 15 days and for this celebration all the people clean and decorate their houses in advance because they believe that all the waste and bad of the old year is cleaned and all the new is to be welcomed in the New Year. In the decoration of the houses they use red color and also like to wear red colored clothes because they believe that red is the sign of luck. The dragon and lion dances are famous in the New Year celebrations of China. Some of the people decorate themselves in tiger, lion and dragon and wander on the streets and Chinese believe that dragon gives them full health and wealth.
Mexico New Year Celebrations: The New Year celebrations in Mexico are totally different from that of other countries. On 31st December at 12pm all the Mexicans eat 12 grapes simultaneously with the clock rings 12. They believe that each fruit as one month and they very carefully examine the taste of each fruit and think that their life goes according to that taste every month. This celebration is very sacred and traditional for the Mexicans and breaks the crockery on the neighbors houses door steps and sprinkle the holy water on the people who are going on the streets. There is another belief that on that day those who wear red color under garments get success in their love and those who wear yellow color under garments get luck.
Venezuela New Year Celebrations: In this country all the people like to travel from one place to other and some people hold the suit case and wander around their house. And all the people write their hopes and desires on a piece of paper and all wish one together in a place at the time of new year and burn those papers and those who wish to get luck in the new year wear yellow colored under garments which is their tradition from many years.
Portorico New Year Celebrations: In order to get luck and better life all the people in that country pour water on the streets and also sprinkle sugar in the houses and fields.
Philippines New Year Celebrations: On the day of New Year the children who wish to grow height jump for 10 times at the midnight of 31st of December and in the same way they also decorate the tables with different fruits and polka dots garments as a tradition.
Netherlands New Year Celebrations: The juniper tree is the major role in the new year celebrations of Nether lands and all the people keep that tree in the houses and they wander around the house with that branch of tree and at last they burn that so that they believe that by doing like that all the bad and evils do not entre their house.
Brazil New Year Celebrations: The day before the New Year the Brazil people light candles and believe that those light rays reach their goddess so that they believe that they get luck and something good may happen to them. All the Brazil people wear white colored garments on the day of new year wishing good may happen in their lives throughout the new year.
