New features in Gmail | Newly added Contacts and Tasks options in Gmail

There are two new facilities available in the Gmail.  They are Contacts, Tasks.  Till now address books are used to store the addresses of friends and family members.  Some of them are softwares and other are online services.  Installing and becoming a member is compulsory.  Contact details can be stored in Gmail without all these fuss.  The list of tasks to do can also be prepared.

Addresses safe here

Observe the right side of the home page of Gmail. Inbox is displaced and there are two new menus.   One of them is Contacts.  This is a place for addresses.  Along with Gmail IDs, photos, addresses, phone numbers and birth dates can be stored here.  There are various divisions like New Contact, My Contacts, Most Contacted, Other Contacts, New group and Import contacts. The details of a particular person can be written in the Notes box. If additional information is to be added click on Add.  Additional information like NickName, Title and company , Relationship can be added.  Print can be taken using the More actions option. Select New group to store the addresses category wise.

To do Tasks

Select Tasks in the Gmail, a list will appear resembling a chatting box.  Choose the plus mark and enter the tasks to do along with time.  List can be changed to Email task list through actions menu. Print out can be taken with the Print task list option.  Sort by due date option should be used to arrange the tasks date wise.
