How to dry a phone that has got wet in water | What to do immediately, when phone has fallen in water

Vacuum cleaner, rice, container and one towel are the pre-requisites to get started with the process of drying a cell phone or mobile phone that has got wet in water.

First of all, take the mobile out of water. Then a towel has to be used to place upon the mobile. As soon as it is removed from the water, the mobile must be switched off.

In order to prevent short circuit of the phone, SIM card and the battery should be removed from the handset immediately after it is switched off.

The important step in this process is usage of vacuum cleaner. It has to be used for nearly 20 minutes to get done with the task. Here is a caution in this step – the vacuum cleaner should not be taken to close to the hand set since it may cause damage to the small components of the phone.

Important point here to note is hair dryer and microwave should not be used in the place of vacuum cleaner for this purpose. Hair dryer will force moisture into the parts of the handset while microwave can even burn them.

After the usage of vacuum cleaner for drying, rest the phone on the napkin or a dry tissue paper and leave it for two to three hours.

After the phone gets dried, the moisture has to be removed from it. For this place the handset in a container of uncooked rice. It has an ability to dry up moisture very soon. Leave the handset in the container for one day.

Following all the above steps must set right the phone. After completing all the above mentioned process, insert SIM card and battery and restart the mobile. By now it should be OK, other wise better take to an expert.
