You may have many themes on your mobile phone…but do you know you can create your own theme? Then you should know about theme creator.

www. sonyericsson.com site has offered special versions for PC and Mac. If you are using PC, click on ‘Download for PC’ and download the setup file. Extract the file from the zipped file, and install the .exe file. Then you will find Start-> All Programs -> Sony Ericsson-> themes creator. Also a shortcut appears on the desktop. Theme creator with special toolbar and menu bar that consists of options like Background, Color scheme, Style and Preview is seen when you open it by double clicking on it.

Steps for beginners

First select the model of Sony Ericsson phone you are using in the box right side of tool bar. For example if you select W200 model, you will see the options like ‘Create your theme using the wizard’, ‘Edit your theme in advance mode’. In the first mode, you will see the boxes ‘navigation, desktop, standby’ with a resolution of 128 x 160. Click on the icons which are below to them and import the images from your system. You can resize the image by using zoom in and zoom out option. Photo can be even rotated also. If you select the image of bigger size you can make it fit to the screen by clicking on ‘Fit In’. You can select the colors by clicking ‘color scheme’ and menu styles by clicking ‘style’. You can preview the image after all the designing is done. If you want to save it, click on the floppy icon in toolbar.

Advanced Mode

If you want to change status bar, soft keys, highlights, tabs, titles, text, scroll box, pop ups, input and sounds, click on the ‘reset’ and  select ‘Edit your theme in advanced mode’. In this also you can import the chosen images and create a theme. Placing the mouse pointer on this box, you will make see the preview.
