GMAIL drive is a virtual drive in our system. This will work with internet only. Like other normal drives in our PC, there will be GMAIL drive available for those, who installed this. Just like other drives, we can do all things with this. But it asks you to enter the defined gmail username and password to access this drive once we connect the internet. But saving files in this drive will take some time like uploading the file.
To create a virtual file system in the computer using GMAIL account then one has to download a program called Gmail Drive and install in the computer. This file is available in the ZIP format which is a packed one. Just unzip the file and install it. Once the file is installed in the computer then we can find a GMAIL drive in the My Computer. Just right click on that drive and given your user id and password related to your Gmail account for signing in. then you can access this drive like the normal C, D, E………… drives existed in the My Computer. This feature is given by the Google to rectify the small amount of space available in GMAIL account i.e. 6000 MB.
