Famous antivirus company Avast has brought out free antivirus software ‘Avast 5’ for the home edition users.

During the installation of the software, after down loading from the site, select ‘Participation in the  avast community ‘option. It sends the virus found on the system to Avast Company.  This software occupies 10 to 25 mb memory space only. It scans the system with tools like Antivirus, Antispyware, heuristics Engines, Multiple real-time Shields.  Avast software comes with ‘Current Status, Statistics, and community’ options.  The message ‘secured ‘will be displayed if no virus is found. It shows the messages, updates problems in pop-ups.  ‘AVAST’ can be changed as per the choice of the user using ‘settings’ option.  Automatic updating is possible by connecting to the internet.  It can be downloaded from the site  www. avastindia.com/home_edition/avast_4_home.html.
