Easy way to clear your internet web history

The recent versions of internet explorer (IE7 and IE8) are having auto suggest feature and smart address bar. The feature of this smart address bar is to show some matching websites which we visited earlier. This auto suggests feature is a time saving one but there is a privacy risk. Microsoft added delete browsing history option in internet explorer. So by clicking once, we can delete the browsing history. This helps us to secure the information from others.

Even though this option is used, few people complain that their internet explorer is showing the browsing history, they try all the possible methods and then complain in the Microsoft forum like

• Cannot delete history of previous websites
• Cannot delete the browser history in IE8
• IE browser history is not cleared.

Microsoft support engineer suggest running the system after a clean boot. Here is simple solution for it. The address bar in the explorer is integrated with windows desktop search. This integration is done to show the web history even if the browser history is cleared. These entries are generally showed up in the history and users confuse it with web history.

To prevent this, we need to go to tools-> internet options-> content-> auto complete and delete the option use windows search for better results.
