Bottle Guard Kheer/Pudding with Almonds


Ingredients:

Bottle Gourd – 1
Milk – 1 litre
Rice flour- 1 cup
Sugar-2 cups
Cardamom powder-2 tsp
Almonds-1/2 cup

Method of Preparation:

Discard the seeds and peel the skin of the bottle gourd. Grate it, pour the water till it is soaked completely and keep it aside for 10 minutes. Then add water and allow it to boil for few minutes. Also add milk, sugar to it and stir it occasionally. Let it boil for some more time.

After the grated gourd gets boiled, add rice flour to it, keep stirring until it is soft (without forming any lumps) and allow it to boil for 10 more minutes. Finally, add cardamom powder in it and allow it to cool for sometime.

Refrigerate it and after a while, pour the mixture in a serving bowl and garnish it with cut almonds. Serve the guests cold.
