BIO-TECH REVOLUTION

At present, world wide bio technology is expanding as a revolution. In this revolution, Agricultural, Pharmacy, Industrial Bio-technology are main branches. In Pharmacy sector, many companies such as Drug bio-tech, Vaccine bio-tech, and Therapeutic- bio   have been listed. If compared with other sectors the Pharmacy bio-biotech has occupied the main share. Therefore thousands of employment opportunities are available in this field. To stand permanently in this field and to reach higher status, the students have to acquire more practical skills. In so many educational institutes the basic facilities are not provided. So the students are unable to acquire the suitable knowledge. To across this problem, Government of India has initiated serious steps to provide all teaching facilities in all Universities as available in educational institutes at foreign countries.

In first instance the R&D branches are required for establishment immediately in the campus of Universities and to encourage the student’s participation in R&D programmes. As such within their course of time, the students can develop their knowledge. Certainly in future several opportunities will be developed for these courses. So by that time curriculum designing is necessary keeping in view of the needs of industries. The courses on bio-technology will be useful in large scale to the students.

IN A.P. STATE

In Andhra Pradesh State in Bachelors stage B.Sc (Bio technology) courses are reachable to the students. The pass candidates in their Intermediate examination are eligible for these courses. B.Tech seats can be filled with EAMCET rank holders. In the state 1650 seats are made available within 29 Universities. In these seats 900 seats are in Osmania University jurisdiction, and 510 seats are under jurisdiction of Andhra University, Sri Venkateswara University purview 240 seats are available. The B.Sc (Technology) and M.Sc,  courses are organizing  by all universities in the State.

In respect Post graduation courses the admissions are provided based on the entrance tests conducted by the respective Universities. M.Tech, (Bio-Technology, Bio medical Engineering) courses are offering by Andhra university and Hyderabad Central university.
